Our Story

Five people, including a woman and four men, standing on the steps in front of a house with shingle siding, along with a large curly-haired dog, a bush, and pink and purple flowers in the foreground.

I started Copper Leaf Development in 2009 with the idea of building really great houses — from conception through the final details.

So many houses built today seem uninspired and cookie-cutter. We’re driven to build houses we can be proud of, that are influenced by classic architectural details, that fit into their neighborhoods and are built with care and determination. Living and raising my family where we build makes this all the more important to me. Our staff and subcontractors work hard and care about their products.

We come to work every day trying to treat each other, our customers, vendors and neighbors as we would want to be treated ourselves. We work to be honest, kind, accessible, and fair. We try to think of our future and that of our children by paying attention to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship in our projects.

Over the years, our team and capabilities have grown — from custom homes to renovations and additions — but these fundamentals of how we operate have stayed the same. A lot goes into building a new house. If you're interested in building, adding to, or renovating a home in the Wellesley area, we would love to hear from you.
